Info on DAEWOO KORANDO model - the right selection of spare parts

Daewoo Korando ORVs were being released from 1999 to 2001. During all the time one generation of the model was presented. Assembly of these cars was adjusted in South Korea.

For the first time the Daewoo Korando cars appeared in the European market in 1999. The exterior of this novelty was developed by the British designer Ken Greenley. The design of the ORV was bright and original: front marker lights had the form of two thin strips which were stretched along the bumper from head lights to the wheel arches. Wide plastic moldings were united with wheel arches. The nose of the car was decorated by the round headlights which were shifted to the center a little and a big radiator grill with longitudinal edges.

The Daewoo Korando cars were manufactured in a three-door body. For simplification of passanger loading to rear seats, there were small ledges on both sides of the body from. Also, having pressed a pedal, it was possible to remove the front seat or to reject its back.

The spacious interior was simple and functional. Because of folding seatbacks it was possible to turn the seats into spacious berths. The central console was decorated with wooden inserts. There was the special handle for the front passenger over glove boxes. The Daewoo Korando cars were equipped with the central lock, airbags, anti-lock brake system, the electric drive of glasses and mirrors, the air conditioner, the audio system and so forth.

Except the covered body, these cars were available in uncovered option — Daewoo Korando Cabrio. The Daewoo Korando Cabrio cars differed in lack of a roof in the rear part of the cabin, and also existence of the hatch over seats of the driver and front passenger.

The release of the Daewoo Korando cars continued till 2001.

The Daewoo Korando cars have twins — SsangYong Korando cars. Since 2008 these cars were designed under the license in Russia where they were called TagAZ Tager.
