What are the types of pressure washers?

By area of application:

• Professional. They feature high performance and extended functionality. This type is designed for daily intensive use. As a rule, they are operated at car washes, parking lots, and car repair shops. These products are expensive.
• Household. These are lightweight, small, and affordable. However, these devices have low performance and are not suitable for regular use.

By power supply type:

• From a rechargeable battery. This type comes with a charger.
• From the mains power supply. They require a grounded socket.
• From a car cigarette lighter. These can be used in any convenient place, but are limited by the length of the cord.

By water source:

• from the water supply system;
• from any suitable tank.

By availability of the heating function:

• With it. They are much better at removing dirt. The devices are made from materials resistant to extreme temperatures. This type is expensive.
• Without it. The water jet should not be hotter than +50°C.

The devices vary in power and type of the pump drive, water pressure, number of attachments, and availability of the water filter and systems of protection and automatic shutdown.

Tips on the use of pressure washers

• When cleaning the car body, keep the distance recommended by the manufacturer to protect the paintwork from possible damage.
• Do not operate a defective device.
• Keep in mind that the water jet can not only damage car components, but also injure a person.
• Keep the pressure washer out of the reach of children.
• In the cold months, wash the vehicle with warm water only. Do not operate the accessory in the frosty weather.
• Do not use this washing method more frequently than once a month to prevent thinning of the paint layer.
