Characteristics of SAE 10W-30 motor oil
- SAE 10W-30 motor oils are used in petrol and diesel engines of passenger cars and commercial vehicles. They can be used in power units operating on LPG.
- Due to their low viscosity, they prevent oil starvation right after engine start.
- These lubricants improve fuel efficiency, as they reduce friction losses.
- Due to a complex of additives, this oil keeps the engine clean, prevents carbon deposit formation, and ensures reliable protection from engine wear.
- The 10W marking indicates that using this lubricant allows starting the engine at ambient temperatures above −25 °C. Besides, the oil pump will be able to push this lubricant through the system even at −30 °C. The number 30 indicates that kinematic viscosity of the product at 100 °C is below 12.5 mm2/s. And its dynamic viscosity at heating should be above 2.9 mPa·s. The letter W shows the possibility to use this product in winter.
