Isuzu Faster are two- and four-door pickup trucks, which have been produced between 1972 and 2002. During the years of manufacture, three generations of the models have been released. Assembly lines were located in Japan, Chile, Colombia, New Zealand, USA, China, Tunisia, Thailand and other countries.

The first generation of the Isuzu Faster pickup trucks was manufactured in 1972-1980. The model was based on Isuzu Florian, inheriting much of the construction and design decisions. The passenger compartment was simple and practical.

Due to its compact size, decent technical characteristics, fuel economy and ease of maintenance, Isuzu Faster gained popularity not only in Japan, but also worldwide. The first generation was produced until 1980.

The second generation of the Isuzu Faster hit the market in 1980. Technical characteristics were improved upon, along with the power unit line-up. Slight changes also touched the exterior - a new bumper and radiator grille were installed, and the design of the headlights was reviewed.

The design and technical characteristics of the car were constantly improved. In 1987, the radiator grille has been changed. Hydraulic power steering was added to the list of options.

Isuzu Faster II were sold all over the world. The exterior could differ slightly based on the specific market. The manufacture of the second generation has been ended in 1988.

The third generation of Isuzu Faster cars has been released in 1988. The car became much more modern than its predecessor. The lines of the body became more fluid, with power bulges on the hood and doors. The front part of the car was defined by narrow rectangular headlights, U-shaped radiator grille and a wide plastic bumper. The dashboard has been updated. Front safety airbags entered the basic package.

In Japan, sales of the third generation have been stopped in 1994. Still, the model was available until 2002 on foreign markets.

Isuzu Faster cars were also sold under other names. In Australia and the USA, the model is better-known as Holden Rodeo and Chevrolet LUV respectively, in Europe - as Isuzu KB and Bedford KB. The cars were also sold as Isuzu P'up, Isuzu Faster-Z, Isuzu Fuego, Isuzu Invader, Isuzu Ippon, Isuzu Pickup, Isuzu TF, Isuzu TT Fortigo, Chevrolet T-Series, Honda Tourmaster, Opel Campо, Vauxhall Brava, Foton Aoling T-Series, Jinbei SY10 and JiangLing Baodian.
