Production of the Italian sports Ferrari F12berlinetta car began in 2012 and continues nowadays. Assembling of the model is carried out at the plant in Maranello, Italy. The Top Gear edition awarded Ferrari F12berlinetta with a rank "The best supercar of 2012".

The virtual presentation of the model took place on February 29, 2012. The debut of the Ferrari F12berlinetta stock model took place in the spring of the same year at the Geneva motor show. The exterior of the car was traditionally developed in Pininfarina studio. The car is released in a coupe body.

In the design of Ferrari F12berlinetta front mid-engine configuration, nontraditional for models of the company, was used. Need to keep the balance of loads of front and rear axes was the cause of such a solution. The drive was carried out on rear wheels of the car. The framework of the car was made of 12 kinds of an aluminum alloys.

The cabin of Ferrari F12berlinetta was displaced to the tail of the body because of features of an power unit arrangement. There was a place for the driver and one passenger only in the cabin. Genuine leather was a traditional material of trimming. Control elements of various systems of the car were located on the steering wheel. Seats had elaborated side support.

The car was equipped with anti-lock braking system (ABS) of the last generation, system of electronic stability control(ESP Premium), differential with the increased internal resistance, an adaptive suspension, and also the traction control system with the F1-Track module. The brake disks of Ferrari F12berlinetta were made of ceramics on the basis of carbon fiber.

On the wide radiator grille the brand logo was located. The front optics was placed in one block with LED running lights. The air passing through air inlets of the front bumper and special channels in the body created the significant tracking force. The company applies such technological decisions at F1 race cars creation.

The model had great dynamic characteristics. Designers managed to combine impressive results of acceleration and the maximal speed and the complete compliance of the power unit to strict requirements of Euro-5 environmental standard.

In November, 2015, release of limited series (799 copies) of cars with the improved dynamic characteristics was organized in honor of anniversary of participation of the company in the races Tour de France Automobile. This modification received the name Ferrari F12tdf.
