Production of the Ferrari Enzo supercar was carried out from 2002 to 2004 at the plant in Maranello, Italy. The model was called in honour of the founder of the company — Enzo Anselmo Ferrari. In total about 400 cars were released.

In 2000 the company created a Ferrari Enzo Prototipo concept. The presentation of the Ferrari Enzo production model took place at the motor show in Paris in the autumn of 2002. The Italian studio Pininfarina traditionally was engaged in the development of design of the car. The car was released in a coupe body though numerous lines of a racing car are observed in an exterior of a car.

During the creation of Ferrari Enzo designers used the packaging scheme, traditional for the majority of the models of the company, with the central location of the engine and a back arrangement of transmission. The drive was carried out on rear wheels. The car was the fastest stock model of the company.

The basic material for manufacturing of the Ferrari Enzo body panels was the mild and strong carbon fiber. In the forefront of the body there were wide air inlets providing cooling of brake system, and also creating necessary tracking force at high speeds. Headlights were settled down in large fairings.

Ferrari Enzo cars were equipped with doors of "wings of a butterfly" type. The engine of the car was well visible through narrow back glass. In the tail of the car the sliding spoiler and dual round elements of back optics were settled down. Openings for dual exhaust pipes were provided in a rear bumper.

In the passenger compartment of the car there was a place for the driver and one passenger only . Inner trimming was made of quality genuine leather. Ergonomic seats were made individually for each client and had elaborated side support. Control elements of the main systems of the car were located on the steering wheel.

As extra options, cars were equipped with climate control system, the Hi-Fi audio system, and also power windows. The concept of the sport car did not provide such inventory in a basic complete set. In 2004 the production of Ferrari Enzo was stopped.
