Info on RENAULT WIND model - the right selection of spare parts

Two-seater roadsters of Renault Wind were made by the French company from 2010 to 2013. Release of the model was adjusted at plant in Novo Mesto, Slovenia. In total one generation of model was presented.

Renault Wind Concept car was shown in 2004 at the Geneva showroom. In 2010 the producer presented the stock Renault Wind model in Geneva also. The car which went on sale did not have much in common with a concept.

The main features of an exterior of Renault Wind Concept were the headlights of the prolonged form located almost vertically and the smooth wavy line surrounding a body. The front and the rear of the car had a semicircular form. There were numerous innovative decisions in the interior. Producers offered a new landing formula 2+1: two front seats were fixed rigidly, and the third seat could be created with casting away a special partition between a seat of the driver and front passenger. The dashboard was replaced with one device which united a speed indicator and a revolution counter: the needle indicator showed speed, and electronic — the engine turns.

In serial model it was decided to refuse from the third seat. Pedals and a steering wheel folded automatically when opening a door that facilitated the landing to the driver. Buttons of steering of the air conditioner settled down on a driver's door. The exterior of the car had common features both with a concept, and with the stock Renault Clio and Renault Megane models. Concave sidewalls, a safety arch behind seats, a rear spoiler, big cuts of air intakes and five-spoke rims were distinctive features of Renault Wind. The folding roof consisting of one section turned around on 180 ° and hid in a luggage compartment.

In finishing expensive and qualitative materials were used. Seats were fitted by leather, and there were several variants of colourings. In cars of a limited series chrome and red leather inserts were used in finishing of the dashboard.

The following options were included in a basic set: the air conditioner, cruise control with speed limitation, two airbags, power windows, heating of a mirror and rear screen, the power steering, the central lock, the on-board computer, fog lights, the chrome plated exhaust pipe, protective mouldings on thresholds. For an extra fee it was possible to order follow-me-home system of headlights, climate control, the rain sensor and so forth.

Despite quite good technical characteristics, modern design and rich equipment, the car wasn't in great demand, and in 2013 it was laid off.
