Info on RENAULT TRAFIC model - the right selection of spare parts
Renault TraficRelease of the commercial vehicles Renault Trafic started in 1981 and is carried out nowadays. Today three generations of the model and three restylings have been presented. Assembling of Renault Trafic was carried out in Batilli and Sandouville (France), Luton (Great Britain), Barcelona (Spain). Outside Europe the car was produced in Chile, Argentina and China. In 2002 Renault Trafic won the first place in the International Van of the Year competition.
Renault Trafic I generationRelease of the first generation of Renault Trafic was carried out in 1981-1989. Cars differed in simplicity and reliability so they got popularity in Europe and outside it. There were several variants of the roof height and the wheel base extent. Models of the first generation were produced in a van body. The design of cars corresponded to the time completely: rectangular shapes prevailed in an exterior, and the compartment was made in utilitarian style.
Renault Trafic I generation restylingsIn 1989 restyling of Renault Trafic of the first generation has been carried out. In general the car became more modern. Designers managed to smooth the corners and get rid from the excessive flatness in an exterior. Front direction indicators were lifted to the level of headlights, and exterior mirrors were enlarged. The door handles were updated also and the inner trim was improved. The minibus was added to the range of bodies.
In 1997 Renault Trafic was subjected to modernizations again. The main changes have concerned an exterior of front part of the car.
Renault Trafic II generationRelease of the second generation of Renault Trafic was carried out from 2001 to 2006. The design of the car has been considerably changed. Lines of a body became smoother, outdated rectangular headlights were replaced by tear-shaped. Smoothness of forms has been emphasized with relief sidewalls and a typical roundish ledge on a roof over a driver's cab. The compartment differed in simplicity and ergonomics.
In 2004 at the motor show in Brussels the Renault Trafic Deck'Up concept car has been shown. It was constructed on the basis of the Renault Trafic model. The concept car had the lines of a minivan and the pickup with a double cabin. Renault Trafic Deck'Up borrowed the appearance of the front part from the Renault Trafic stock model of the second generation. As for the rest its design has been completely changed. The concept car had wing doors. It was decided to move the central rack from the door side for comfortable boarding of passengers. The compartment interior had the light-beige tones. Whether the model will come to the mass production, it is unknown.
Renault Trafic II generation restylingIn 2006 restyling of cars of the second generation has been carried out. Design of headlights, bumpers and the radiator grille was changed slightly.
Renault Trafic III generationRelease of the third generation of Renault Trafic started in 2014 and is carried out nowadays. The design of the updated car became more aggressive because of massive front part with huge headlights of irregular shape and the large radiator grille. The relief of sidewalls was also changed. The recognizable ledge on the roof became almost imperceptible.
Renault Trafic in the markets of the different countriesThe Renault Trafic car was on sale under other names also. In Europe it is known as Opel Vivaro and Opel Arena. The Vauxhall Vivaro model was produced for the British market, and Nissan Primastar was assembled at Nissan plant. In India the car was released since 2007 and got the Tata Winger name.
