Release of Renault Sandero for the European market continues since 2009 till nowadays. In different years production has been arranged in Romania, Colombia and Iran. Cars are also assembled in Brazil, Morocco, South Africa and Russia. Renault Sandero Stepway with big overall dimensions and additional options were released together with Renault Sandero.

Renault Sandero was presented in 2007 at the Frankfurt motor show. The model has been produced for the European market since 2009. Release of the first generation continued till 2014.

The Renault Sandero model was produced in a hatchback body and was constructed on the basis of Renault Logan sedan. The new car was differed from a sedan in the wheel base shortened by 39 mm and the changed design of an exterior.

The model got expressive headlights, wide radiator grille, tinted glasses and steel 14-inch rims. The minimum volume of a luggage compartment was 320 liters and could be increased to 1200 liters.

Seats had a fabric cover. The rear wiper and back window heating, system of air recirculation and an immobilizer were among basic options. The expanded complete set had the hydraulic power steering.

In 2008 the hatchback of Renault Sandero Stepway has been presented in Brazil. The European premiere of the car took place on May 7, 2009 at the motor show in Barcelona. The Renault Sandero Stepway hatchback was 4 mm longer, 7 mm wider and 16 mm higher than Renault Sandero . The body of Renault Sandero Stepway was painted in a metallic colour, and there were railing on the roof. Elements of internal finishing were of chrome colouring. The conditioner and front seats heating were added to the basic complete set. The steering tube was regulated on height. All the Renault Sandero Stepway cars had the steering wheel trimmed with leather and adjustable headrests. Release of the first generation of Renault Sandero Stepway cars continued till 2014.

Since 2013 the second generation of Renault Sandero and Renault Sandero Stepway cars has been released. Both cars were presented at the Parisian motor show in autumn of 2012. Cars of the second generation became more safety than the predecessors. The updated Renault Sandero model has received four stars during Euro NCAP crash tests while the car of the first generation had only three stars.

Cars, as before, differ among themselves in dimensions. Length of a body of Renault Sandero Stepway makes 4 080 mm, width — 1 757 mm, and height — 1 618 mm. The corresponding parameters of a body Renault Sandero make 4 080 mm, 1 733 mm and 1 523 mm.

The Renault Sandero hatchback of the second generation got steel 15-inch rims, Renault Sandero Stepway — the steel 16-inch disks stylized under cast ones.

The basic set of cars of the second generation was extended. The Renault Sandero model has got rear-view mirrors with manual adjustment that could be made from the compartment and the hydraulic power steering. Renault Sandero Stepway cars are also completed with the central lock with remote control, cruise control and anti-blocking system of brakes (ABS).
