Info on MITSUBISHI L 400 model - the right selection of spare parts
Mitsubishi L400
Mitsubishi L400 was a compact car whose production was carried out during the period from 1994 to 2007 at a plant in Nagoya, Japan.
Mitsubishi L400 I generation
The Mitsubishi L400 model was a commercial export version of the fourth generation of Mitsubishi Delica. The car was produced in a four-door minivan body. The passenger compartment was designed for eight seats, including the driver’s seat. Seats of the second and third rows could be folded for enlargement of trunk if necessary.
The slanted hood of Mitsubishi L400 continued the line of the windshield to the front bumper. There was a small air inlet on the hood. There was a bulky front bumper and a wide U-shaped radiator grille below it. Mitsubishi L400 also featured additional glazing.
The car inherited the power unit, suspension, body structure and transmission from the Mitsubishi Pajero model. The high road clearance (230 mm) provided excellent off-road performance to the car. The engine was located in the front part of the body. The car had a back-wheel drive, but four-wheel drive modifications were also manufactured. All the wheels of Mitsubishi L400 cars were equipped with disc brakes.
Mitsubishi L400 I generation restyling
In 1996 Mitsubishi L400 had a new front bumper with integrated fog lights, improved front optics, and also updated front wings and bonnet. Also the radiator grille shape was changed. The car was equipped with a new electronic EFI system for controlling the power unit.
Mitsubishi L400 in the markets of the different countries
In Japan the car was on sale under the name Mitsubishi Delica. Mitsubishi Space Gear passenger cars, similar to Mitsubishi L400 in hardware and design, were exported to other countries also.
