Mitsubishi ASX is an impressive crossover. Production of the car began in 2010 and is organized nowadays at the plant in Okazaki, Japan.
Model I generation
The model was developed on the basis of Concept-cX shown at the auto show in Frankfurt in 2007. The presentation of the Mitsubishi ASX stock model took place in 2010 at the motor show in Geneva.

The name of the model represents an abbreviation from the words "Active Sport X-over". The car was developed on the Project Global platform used at the creation of the Mitsubishi Lancer X and Mitsubishi Outlander XL models earlier.
In the nose of Mitsubishi ASX the radiator grille in the form of a trapeze is located. In niches on the front bumper there are integrated fog lights. A trapezoid power bulge is made on the hood.
The large windscreen of passenger compartment provides ideal visibility to the driver. In the passenger compartment of the car there are four passenger seats and one driver's. For protection of the driver and passengers in case of collision, the car is equipped with pretensioners of seat belts and an extensive set of airbags. The trunk volume comprises 419 litres.
In a basic package Mitsubishi ASX cars are equipped with the on-board computer with the liquid crystal display, an adjustable steering column, the climate control, multimedia system with six loudspeakers, cooled glove compartment, and also a push button ignition. As extra options the panoramic roof, leather upholstery of passenger compartment and LED illumination are offered.
Model I generation restylings
In 2012 the design of Mitsubishi ASX underwent changes. A considerable number of plastic elements of the exterior was replaced with chrome details.

In Poland car was on sale under the names Mitsubishi ASX "alliArt" and Mitsubishi ASX "Fischer". A limited number of cars was delivered to Malaysia as Mitsubishi ASX Special Edition.
