Production of the front drive sports car Chrysler Vision was carried out from 1993 to 1997 in Brampton, Canada. In 1993 the Automobile edition recognized this model as the car of year.

In March, 1987, the Chrysler company presented in Frankfurt the concept of its subsidiary — Lamborghini Portofino. The design of the car developed by Kevin Verduyn was highly appreciated by representatives of the automobile press and specialists.

In January, 1992 at the motor show in Detroit the presentation of the Chrysler Vision production model took place, Lamborghini Portofino design was a basis of its exterior. The car went on sale in 1993. The car was produced in a body of a sedan on the Chrysler LH platform.

Chrysler Vision inherited some features from the Eagle Premier car: some elements of braking system, a design of the suspension and transmission and also a longitudinal engine.

The car differed in the noticeable shift of the cabin to the front part of a body. Such a design decision was necessary to make the passenger compartment of Chrysler Vision capacious and comfortable, without car length increasing.

In a basic package, Chrysler Vision was equipped with the central lock, two airbags, power windows, and also anti-lock braking system (ABS). The rigid sports suspension, the hatch with the electric drive and the traction control system (ASR) were offered as an option. The expanded package had a leather inner trim, the ventilated seats and back armrests.

Production of the model was stopped because of removal of the Eagle brand under which the car was sold in North America. The last Chrysler Vision cars were produced in September, 1997. In total, 105 thousand cars were released.

In the USA and Canada the car initially was on sale under the name of Eagle which was subsidiary of the Chrysler Company. The model was known in the automobile market of Europe under the name of Chrysler Vision.
