The model is a car of business class. Chrysler 300 model is produced since 2004 at the plants in Canada, Austria and China.

From 1998 to 2004 the company released a sport sedan of the executive class - Chrysler 300M. The car was created on the Chrysler LH platform. Assembling of the model was organized at the plant in Brampton, Canada. The car became the predecessor of the Chrysler 300C model.

The Motor Trend edition recognized Chrysler 300M as the best car of 1999, and the Car and Driver edition — the best car of 1999 and 2000.

The presentation of Chrysler 300 concept took place in 2003 at the New York motor show. The car was created on the Chrysler LX platform. Design of the model had some technical components borrowed from Mercedes-Benz W210. Freeman Thomas and Ralph Gilles directed the development of design. Stock Chrysler 300C cars went on sale in 2004. The car was released in bodies of a sedan and a station wagon.

In the Base package Chrysler 300 cars were equipped with 17 inches disks. The Touring package had the central lock with remote control, CD audio systems, satellite radio, system of electronic stability control (ESP) and a leather inner trimming.

Chrysler 300 cars of the Limited package were equipped with two-zonal climate control, and chrome plated light-alloy 18”disks. In the market of North America the modification with the most powerful engine in the richest package had the name Chrysler 300C. Whereas in Europe all modifications. irrespective of type of the power unit and a package, had such designation.

In 2005 the cabriolet concept on the basis of Chrysler 300 was presented in Detroit, but the company did not plan the stock production of the car. In 2006 at the motor show in New York the model with the increased length of a body - at 152 mm - was presented.

Canada recognized the car as the best car of a premium class of 2005. The Car and Driver and Motor Trend editions included Chrysler 300 in their own list of the best cars of 2005-2006.

In 2007 the car got the improved back optics, the updated cast disks and new mouldings. The producer equipped the car with an advanced stereosystem and improved quality of an inner trimming.

In 2011 the second generation of Chrysler 300C went on sale. The car had running lights and LED back optics, bixenon headlights, cast light-alloy 20 inches disks and the new radiator grille. The basic set of all modifications of Chrysler 300 included front airbags.

The producer made essential changes in the design of the central console, a steering column and the dashboard. The car had multimedia system with the 8,4’’ touch display. Producer used soft materials for inner trimming. Release of the second generation of Chrysler 300 continues till nowadays.
