The conductor’s diameter may be 6, 9, or 12 mm. This value depends on the displacement of the engine being started. For instance, the first ones are only suitable for vehicles with 1.5-Litre engines.

By the type of alligator clips:
Insulated. These cables are safe for operation.
Not insulated. These may cause short circuits and cable fires.
