Nissan DatsunNissan Datsun came off the assembly line in 1985-2002. Cars were manufactured in the USA, Canada, Japan, Mexico, China, Thailand and Philippines.
Nissan Datsun D21The first-generation production started in 1985 and lasted up to 1993. Nissan Datsun D21 cars were built on platform of Nissan 720 and came in 2-door/4-door pickup versions – Nissan Datsun 4WD Regular Cab D21, Nissan Datsun 4WD Double Cab D21 and pickup truck Nissan Datsun Truck. Distinctive features were large headlights and smooth lines of a body.
Nissan Datsun Truck D21 pickups were available in three configurations: basic, XE and SE. XE configuration included an air-conditioner, power side mirrors, alloy wheel rims, chromed exterior elements (moldings on bumpers and side mirrors). Car in SE configuration had a sport package which included sunroof, power mirrors and special light alloy “Robot” wheel rims.

Cars were still available in 2- and 4-door pickup versions. 2-door pickups got their own name - Nissan Datsun King Cab D22, and 4-door pickups – Nissan Datsun Double Cab D22. Eight body colors were offered to customers. Basic options list included a central lock, power side mirrors, power windows, an airbag for a driver and a climate control.
