Nissan NV200 production started in 2009 and still continues nowadays. Manufacturing was set up in Japan, Mexico, Spain, India, China, Malaysia and Indonesia.

Nissan NV200 Concept was presented in 2007 at the Tokyo Motor Show. Company presented a serial model of Nissan NV200 on Nissan Tenjin Motor Show in 2008. Car was built on Nissan B platform and was available in minivan and van versions.

Power plant was mounted in the front body part. Car had a front wheel drive. Nissan NV200 had 2860 mm wheelbase which was lengthened by 66 mm in 2013.

Van had only one passenger seat and minivan – six. Nissan NV200 minivans had single raising back door and vans – double hinged doors. Luggage compartment was 900 l, but it could be increased to 2300 or 4100 due to folding second and third row seats.

Car had independent McPherson front and dependent spring rear suspensions. Front wheels had ventilated disk brakes and rear – drum type brakes.

Basic configuration of Nissan NV200 included audio system with Bluetooth module, a central lock with a remote control, a cabin ventilation and heating system. Power windows, upgraded audio system and rear view camera were optional.

All cars were equipped with an electronic brake force distribution system (EBD), antiskid braking system (ABS), front airbags and emergency brake system (Brake Assist). Side airbags and electronic stability program (ESP) were available for additional fee. Nissan NV200 got 3 stars on results of EuroNCAP crash tests.

Nissan NV200 Combi and Nissan NV200 Van with a modified suspension were presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2009.

Presentation of commercial Nissan NV200 Vanette Universal Design Taxi van took place at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009. Specially developed and optimized for special needs passengers, Autech NV200 Vanette Life Care Vehicle came to market in the same year.

Company presented Nissan e-NV200 Concept with electromotor in 2012 at the Auto Show in Detroit. Production of Nissan NV200 Compact Cargo and new Nissan NV200 Taxi was set up for the USA market specially in 2013.

In some European and Asian countries car was sold under the name of Nissan NV200 EVALIA. On few markets it was known as Mitsubishi Delica D: 3, Ashok Leyland Stile и Chevrolet City Express. Car has been manufactured in China as Gonow Starry since 2013.
