Info on KIA CLARUS model - the right selection of spare parts
Kia ClarusKia Clarus was manufactured from 1996 to 2001. Over the course of those 5 years, one generation and one facelift were offered at the market. Kia Clarus in sedan and estate body styles was assembled at a Hwaseong, South Korea factory.
First generation Kia ClarusKia Clarus sedan was unveiled in 1996. The car was born from a tight cooperation between Kia Motors and Mazda, and for that reason it had a close resemblance to Mazda 626.
Kia Clarus was designed in a modern style and known for its good controllability, smooth ride, powerful engines and comfortable spacious interior.
The exterior design featured smooth contours lacking sharp angles. Stylish radiator grill with transverse blades and chrome trim combined well with front lights. Large round rear lights contributed to a beautiful rear view.
The interior was marked by convenient intuitive location of the main controls and affordable yet high-quality finishing materials. The driver seat was fitted with a four-directional adjustment system, which allowed the driver to take a posture close to the natural one while driving. At the inside of the driver side door, power windows control buttons were located, with a lever of the remote fuel door opener under them.
Kia Clarus base trim included AC, power steering, central lock, immobilizer, and driver airbag. The expanded trim also featured fake wood finish of the dashboard, heated mirrors, power windows, and front passenger airbag.
Restyled first generation Kia ClarusA facelift model of Kia Clarus hit the markets in 1998. The front and rear parts of the body were slightly modified so that the car became 35 mm longer. New headlights of a complex shape with reflectors and diffusers of the light beam were installed. New body was made of steel with a zinc-based finish, which provided excellent rust protection.
Upon facelift, Kia Clarus was released in the estate body style. Five- and seven-seat cars were offered to the public.
In 2001, Kia Clarus was replaced by a new model, Kia Magentis.
Kia Clarus on the markets of various countriesKia Clarus was sold successfully on the South Korean domestic market as well as in Australia where this car was marketed under the name Kia Credos.
