Honda S2000Honda S2000 sport was manufactured in 1999-2009 period. Model was created in honor of the 50th brand anniversary and marketed as Honda S500, Honda S600 and Honda S800 successor.
Honda S2000 AP1During Tokyo Motor Show in 1995 company presented Honda SSM Concept. Production model of Honda S2000 was presented on Detroit Motor Show in 1999. Head of designers was Shigeru Uehara. Car was produced as roadster type in Tochigi factory (Japan).
The car was notable for its perfect mass balance between axles and central engine mounting. Honda S2000 AP1 model had a rear wheel drive. The car had an independent double wishbone suspension.
Company engineers used steel as main construction material creating this model, but hood lid was made of aluminum. Some components were made of titan.
U-shaped radiator grille was placed between two small air inlets. Front optics was combined into two blocks, equipped with headlight washers. Side mirrors of Honda S2000 were body color painted. The car was equipped with LED third stop-signal.
There were massive safeguard bows behind seats. Shaped stamping was made at lower part of Honda S2000 side surfaces. Rear lights consisted of six round elements, combined by three in single block.
