Ford GT I generationHistory of Ford GT cars originates from the middle of the 1960th. In 1965 the first sport car of the Ford company — the GT40 model - was released. The car was developed especially for winnings in 24 Heures du Mans races that were won by Ferrari racing cars for six times. Ford GT40 had stunning success: within five years after the sport car releasing the Ford team won the race. These cars were produced till 1968. Stock production of Ford GT cars started in 2004. Release of the cars of the first generation was carried out till 2006. The exterior of a sport car was completely borrowed from the predecessor. The car got the same stocky silhouette, a cowl was flat and had cambers at the edges. The arched zone line rose up to the back of the car sharply: back wheels of Ford GT were larger than front ones. Seats had longitudinal adjustment and the punched openings for ventilation. Also it was possible to adjust a back slope angle. For the compartment finishing leather and aluminum inserts were used. Climate control and the audio system were included in the basic sets.
Ford GT II generationThe debut of cars of the second generation took place at the motor show in Detroit in 2015. Stock production of these cars began one year later. Producers improved design and principal specifications. Lines of a body became more sharp and precipitant. In an exterior futuristic lines and classical motives were perfectly combined. Due to use of aluminum elements and carbon fabrics producers managed to decrease a weight of the car.
