Citroën C-CrosserCitroën C-Crosser release started in 2007 and was carried out till 2013. One generation of the model was presented. The Citroën C-Crosser car became the first crossover in the history of the Citroën Company. Release of these cars was organized in Borne, the Netherlands, and Kaluga, Russia.
History of Citroën C-Crosser creationThe Citroën C-Crosser concept car was presented in 2001 within the Frankfurt motor show. Creating Citroën C-Crosser Concept, designers realized the most courageous technological ideas. Driving was exercised only by means of digital technologies. There was no pedal box in this car: all levers and control buttons were relocated to the steering wheel that had a form of control column. Due to the lack of mechanical communication between a steering wheel and car, the control column could be moved lengthways the dashboard. The car was an ORV which easily could be transformed into the pickup.
The stock Citroën C-Crosser crossover was shown at the Geneva motor show in 2007. This car had nothing in common with the concept car. The design of the car differed in sharp lines and acute angles. In the inner trimming of expensive packages leather was used. Configuration of the dashboard and an aluminum fringing of dials indicated sport character of the crossover.
In Citroën C-Crosser cars comfortable seats with electric adjustment function were established. Seats of the second and third row could be get under the car floor if necessary. The bottom of a back door could be opened separately from glass — it maintained weight to 200 kilograms.
Production of these cars was stopped in 2013.
