Info on CITROËN C4 model - the right selection of spare parts
Citroën C4Citroën C4 is produced by the French concern PSA Peugeot Citroën since 2004. Two generations of the model and two restylings are presented nowadays. Release of these cars is organized in France in Mulhouse. Also assembling of this model was organized in Argentina, Brazil, Russia and China.
Citroën C4 I generationThe first generation of Citroën C4 was manufactured from 2004 to 2010. The debut of the model took place at the Parisian motor show. The design of the car was borrowed from the Citroën Sport Concept Car presented in the spring of 2004 at the Geneva motor show.
Stock Citroën C4 looked dynamically. A sloping roof, the inverse inclination of a back rack, the panoramic back glass coming far from the roof edge, headlights of the irregular shape — all this gave to the car similarity to a sports car. The range of bodies consisted of three - and five-door hatchbacks.
The interior of Citroën C4 differed in bright design. In design of the dashboard the arched lines and semicircular forms prevailed. Instead of habitual analog devices digital displays were used. Illumination changed depending on outdoor lighting. The steering wheel of Citroën C4 had a special design: only the wheel rim rotated, the steering wheel hub remained was fixed. It allowed to establish more efficient airbag. The passenger compartment was trimmed by qualitative fabric and soft plastic. In more expensive packages the velour or leather upholstery of seats was available.
The original design, comfortableness and safety of this car was appreciated by public and this car took the second prize at the competition "European Car of Year" in 2005.
Citroën C4 I generation restylingIn 2008 Citroën C4 cars underwent restyling. The car had expressive hood, bumper and radiator grille were changed, a big air inlet was placed in the center of the car nose. The interior was updated a little. There were new variants of passenger compartment upholstery, body painting and disks design. For some European countries (The Czech Republic, Hungary, Spain, to Slovakia and Romania) the model was offered in a body of a sedan — it was exported from Brazil and Argentina.
Citroën C4 II generationThe debut of the second generation took place in 2010 within the Parisian motor show. Producers improved design and principal specifications of the car. The car exterior became more elegant and more modern because of the updated engine hood, new design of headlights and radiator grille. In expensive packages it was possible to get a panoramic roof and a leather upholstery of seats. The model was offered in a body of a five-door hatchback.
In 2012 at the Parisian motor show the updated sedan of Citroën C4 L was presented. The car differed from a hatchback in abundance of the chrome plated elements. The car was made generally for the Chinese and Russian markets.
Citroën C4 II generation restylingIn 2015 restyling of the second generation of Citroën C4 took place. Minor changes concerned design of disks, dashboard and headlights - the last were produced with 3D effect. Principal specifications were improved and the list of options was expanded.
Citroën C4 in the markets of the different countriesThe Citroën C4 model in a body of a sedan is known also under other names: in China — Citroën C-Triomphe and Citroën C-Quatrè, in Argentina, Hungary and Brazil — Citroën C4 Pallas, in Spain — Citroën C4 Berline.
