Production of Mercedes-Benz Vario began in 1996 and continued till 2013. During this time one generation of the car was presented at the market. Release of the cars in bodies of the bus, the minibus, a van, a board, the chassis was organized Ludwigsfelde, Germany, and Alcobendas, Spain.

Wide colour range was a distinctive feature of Mercedes-Benz Vario: there were more than 100 special and stock versions. Quite often cars were used as repair shops, dump trucks, cranked elevators. Thanks to reliability and high quality of assembling, these cars won recognition of motorists of the whole world.

The last Mercedes-Benz Vario car was produced on September 27th, 2013. It was replaced by the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter model in the market.
