Info on HYUNDAI i40 model - the right selection of spare parts
Hyundai i40Hyundai i40 has been produced since 2011 till present. The producer presented this model in two bodies: sedan and five-door station wagon. Cars were manufactured in South Korea and Russia. In 2011 Hyundai i40 won the Golden Award first prize at the annual Eurocarbody conference in Frankfurt.
Hyundai i40 I generationThe world premiere of the Hyundai i40 sedan took place at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. Several months later at the Barcelona Motor Show a station wagon body type was presented. Hyundai i40 succeeded an outdated Hyundai Sonata which was being sold for some time together with a novelty.
The design of the car was developed by experts from the Hyundai's European R&D center which is located in the German city of Russelsheim. Special streaming body lines, characteristic of all the model range of the Company, prevailed in this model.
Cars in a body of a station wagon differed in sports style. Developers established a compact spoiler over glass of the fifth door, big tail lights with the chrome-plated insert. One more characteristic was a big luggage compartment which volume increases from 553 to 1719 liters if rear seats are folded.
Front part of sedans was decorated with headlights of an irregular shape, a false radiator grill in the form of a trapeze with two sections, a body kit with two levels in the top central part.
If externally sedans and station wagons differed from each other, they had an identical interior. The three-spoke steering wheel was installed in all the vehicles. All switches, buttons on the informative dashboard were made of qualitative materials and were placed at convenient distance from the driver.
The Hyundai i40 cars were presented in the market in three modifications: Comfort, Style and Premium. The system of the automatic parking, rear-view camera, climate control system, cruise control system, Supervision dashboard were included in the maximum Premium modification.
The system of safety had nine airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS), system of electronic control of stability (VSM), Hill Start Assist Control. By results of EuroNCAP tests, Hyundai i40 got the highest point.
Hyundai i40 I generation restylingIn 2015 there was a restyling of Hyundai i40 as a result of which the front part of cars was updated. Developers established a hexagonal radiator grill with chrome-plated mouldings. Producers restyled niches of fog lights and optics: instead of habitual round lenses they used a LED strip.
The interior was also changed greatly. In the list of basic options there were a new multimedia system with a big informative display, a Drive Mode button which was responsible for the choice of the modes of power steerings, a transmission operation speed and accelerator pedal response.
In new Hyundai i40 models several technical novelties were realized: a contactless access to a trunk, a system of road signs recognition, headlights with automatic switching.
