The very light and relatively soft aluminium material is often used in both engine and gear components. As a result, these components are very susceptible to thread damage. The threads in the oil drainage holes are very often damaged or even destroyed by excessive tightening, as well as frequent opening and closing of the oil drain screws. This results in extremely time- consuming replacement of the oil pan or gearbox housing. With this repair kit, the damaged thread can be easily drilled onto the next thread size, so that the oil drain screw sits tight again and seals. The appropriate oil drain screws and sealing rings are also included in the set.
