Nachdem mein Sohn den Außenspielgen den Außenspiegel bei unserem Up! halb beim Herausfahren aus der Garage halb rausgerissen, hatte war eine Reparatur fällig. Mit Hilfe dieses einwandfrei passenden Ersatzteils ging das dann relativ kostenschonend. Folgende Dinge sind aber zu beachten: Die Lackierung der Abdeckung wird nie so, wie in einer professionellen Lackiererei, sofern man die Lackierung selbst vornimmt. Der Austausch ist einigermaßen aufwändig. Das Abmachen der A-Säulen-Verkleidung an der Tür, um an die zweite Befestigungsschraube des Spiegels zu gelangen, ist dabei noch das geringste Problem. Das Hauptproblem ist, dass das Gegenstück zum Hauptstecker von außen nicht zugänglich ist. Dieser sitzt vorne unten zwischen den beiden Türblechen. Um da hin zu gelangen, muss man die Hauptverkleidung der Tür abnehmen und danach noch den Lautsprecher entfernen. Letzteres geht nur, indem man die vier Nieten (4,8 mm) herausbohrt, mit Hilfe derer der Lautsprecher an der Tür befestigt ist. Zusätzlich musste ich noch das Blech hinter dem Spiegel mit Hilfe eines Kantholzes zurückhämmern, damit der neue Spiegel ordentlich sitzt. Danach das Ganze wieder zusammenbauen. Summa Summarum also mindestens zwei Stunden Arbeitsaufwand für einen Laien.
