It immediately puts the park sensors in the error mode. The original part Valeo 890000 for my 2014 Tiguan was a bit too pricy considering I have 12 of those sensors on the car, and I thought this would be able to replace it. I bought 3 of them thinking I would have backups in case some other breaks, and tested one just to see that it doesn't work. I did not open the remaining two, yet I am supposed to bear the cost of the return which gods knows how much (and it is to another country).
