In order to achieve better protection against martens, a marten repellent should be installed on every entrance hole in the engine compartment. The installation location should be as deep as possible. The device operates in a 12-second cycle (see LED). The device should be installed so that the picture of the marten can be seen through the entrance hole. Should there be multiple holes, a device should be installed on every side of the engine. The engine must be washed prior to installation or after each time a marten is present, in order to remove scent traces. With a power requirement of approx. 20 mA, the battery will not be discharged. The signal is inaudible to the human ear.
