Main characteristics of motor oils with VW 508.00 specification
VW 508.00 motor oils first appeared in 2013. These are highly efficient lubricants, created specially for the latest engine generations. The SAPS content is within the 1.0–1.5% range, with phosphorus content of 0.08–0.15%. The total base number is above 11.
- These products are designed for use in Volkswagen cars. In particular, they are produced specially for the 1.5 TSI 96 kW and 110 kW (150 hp) and Audi 2.0 TFSI 140 kW (190 hp) petrol engines which require the use of low-viscosity oils.
- Due to their high fluidity, VW 508.00 motor oils ensure low fuel consumption. They significantly reduce engine wear at start-up. Due to the high total base number, they are resistant to oxidation. These lubricants ensure reliable protection at heavy loads.
- VW 508.00 motor oils have SAE 0W-20 viscosity. They are not interchangeable with lubricants of previous specifications and are not suitable for use in engines of earlier generations.
